How big is a Tower Garden™ and where do I place it for optimal growing?
  • The basic Tower Garden unit (pictured at right) is 5 pots tall and can grow 20 plants in a 2.5' x 2.5' footprint. The Tower Garden™ can be easily rotated for optimal lighting around the entire unit.
  • Up to three Add-On Kits can be used per Tower Garden. Each Add-On Kit consists of two pots (8 planting spaces). We do not recommend using more than one Add-On Kit outdoors due to greater susceptibility to wind gusts. Taller towers are better suited for an indoor or greenhouse environment.
  • If more than one Add-On Kit is used, you will also need to purchase the High Capacity Submersible Pump (available in the “Replacement Parts” section of our online store).
  • Most food crops generally require full sun or high light for optimal growing conditions. During the heat of the summer, the Tower Garden™ should be placed in a location that will get shade starting mid-afternoon. If you have shade locations in your yard, it is best to have the Tower Garden™ shaded later in the day when temperatures are hot.
  • It is also helpful to follow the advice for specific crops on the back of the seed packets.  Quality seeds purchased form a local garden center are ideal for producing great crops in the Tower Garden™.
  • Be sure a good clean water source is nearby. NEVER use softened water, heavily chlorinated water, or very hard water, as it may damage your plants. Note: Chlorine in water can be eliminated by filling a 5 gallon bucket with water and leaving it out in full sun for 48 hours.
  • An electrical outlet nearby is preferred over a long extension cord. ALWAYS use a waterproof connection when using outdoor extension cords. These can generally be purchased from local hardware stores.

I don't have much experience growing, how easy is it to grow in a Tower Garden™?

The Tower Garden™ requires no previous growing experience.

Even people with a “brown thumb” can grow in it! The Tower Garden is easy to assemble and comes with an 8 page full-color instructional booklet. The Tower Garden™ is so simple!

There is no weeding, tilling, kneeling, or getting dirty!

The Tower Garden™ is truly the world’s first plug and play super garden!

It also grows your crops in less time it would normally take in the soil.

Everything you need to start growing comes with the Tower Garden. All you need is an electrical outlet and water!

No More Weeds
How does my Tower Garden™ work?

Seeds for the Tower Garden are started in a natural rock fiber seeding cube. Seeded cubes are placed in a covered bio-dome for 24–48 hours, allowing the seeds to germinate quickly and evenly with very little, if any, seed loss. The bio-dome is then opened and germinated seeds are placed outside in full sun for a week or two where they can develop into hardy seedlings ready for transplant into the Tower Garden

The Tower Garden has a 25 gallon reservoir or storage tank at its base. This reservoir stores the Tower Tonic Ionic Mineral Nutrient Solution. Inside the reservoir is a small, low wattage submersible pump. The pump draws the nutrient solution up through the center of each pot all the way to the top of the Tower Garden.

From there, the nutrient solution drips through a special device that evenly cascades the nutrient solution over the plant roots. On the journey down the tower, the nutrient solution feeds the plants’ roots and becomes highly oxygenated as gravity tumbles it back down to the reservoir.

This process is continually repeated providing fresh oxygen, water, and nutrients to the roots on the plants. Because of the above mentioned process, the food crops in the Tower Garden will grow faster than they would in soil, and will have to be harvested on a regular basis! The Tower Garden is so simple! No weeding, tilling, kneeling, or getting dirty! The Tower Garden is truly the world’s first plug and play vertical garden!

Why should I grow my produce using the Tower Garden instead of buying it at the grocery store?

Traditional produce is grown and harvested for shipping long distances and for a long shelf life. In many cases, consumers end up buying bland-tasting produce that is days or weeks old, lacking in nutrition, and laden with pesticides. Many people lose their desire to eat healthy, fresh vegetables simply because they do not taste good or fresh.

Today’s grocery store food travels great distances and is stored in a chilled environment for a period of time. It requires layers of packaging to end up in the consumer’s hands. It is sprayed with fungicides, pesticides, and herbicides.

Nature intended food to taste incredible, not bland. The Tower Gardencan produce fresh, great tasting, and pesticide free produce all year long outside your own back door. The ability to harvest all your own fruits and vegetables fresh and vine ripened from your own backyard year round, will have you enjoying food everyday the way nature intended! Many Tower Gardenowners did not know how good food could taste until they tried produce grown from a Tower Garden for the very first time. After having a Tower Garden for a few months, they are naturally eating their required servings of fresh vegetables on a daily basis.

Will I need special nutrients for my Tower Garden™?

To help grow rich, full plants, it is essential to provide them with the necessary nutrients.

Why is my Tower Garden™ sustainable?

The Tower Garden system uses green technologies that recycle earth minerals and water. Our patented food production systems allow the plants to use as little as 5 percent of the nutrients and water that is commonly used in conventional and organic farming.

The pH balanced ionic minerals and plant nutrients found in the Tower Tonic (Ionic mineral based plant food used in the Tower Garden), produce strong, healthy plants that can better protect themselves from plant pests and disease. This reduces the use of organic and conventional pesticides. The Tower Garden reduces your carbon footprint by recycling natural resources, reducing pesticides, and avoiding the transportation and storage of food by consuming food grown from your own home.
